About RoleSec

Cybersecurity training built for how finance roles actually work.

RoleSec is a finance-focused cybersecurity training platform built around role exposure rather than generic awareness logic. We design training for the real workflows, approval pressure, documentation risks, control points, and communication vulnerabilities that finance professionals manage every day.

Why RoleSec exists

Generic cybersecurity training leaves finance teams underprepared.

Most cybersecurity training programs are designed to be broad enough for everyone. That is exactly why they often fail the people operating inside high-exposure finance workflows. A treasury professional does not face the same cyber risk as an external auditor. A compliance officer does not work under the same pressure points as a payroll specialist, financial controller, or advisor.

Yet many organisations still assign the same flat awareness content across all of them. That may support completion metrics, but it does not create role-aware judgment. It creates a false sense of readiness.

The gap we are solving

Generic awareness training rarely reflects what finance professionals actually approve, review, reconcile, store, communicate, defend, or escalate. RoleSec was built to close that gap by aligning cybersecurity education more closely with the real structure of finance work.

Finance roles carry different exposure. Their training should reflect that reality.
Founder perspective

Built from a technical background, shaped by a clear market failure.

RoleSec was founded by an Electrical and Electronics Engineer who is currently pursuing a Master’s in Data Science. The platform emerged from a simple but recurring observation: cybersecurity training in the market was rarely built around the actual responsibilities of specific finance roles.

01

The wrong training model

Across finance functions, professionals were expected to operate securely inside high-risk workflows while being assigned generic, repetitive training that did not reflect how their roles actually worked.

02

The structural mismatch

Approval chains, reporting pressure, sensitive documentation, stakeholder communication, fraud exposure, and internal control environments were often missing from the learning experience entirely.

03

The RoleSec response

RoleSec was created to address that mismatch directly by structuring cybersecurity training around the responsibilities that actually generate cyber exposure inside finance environments.

What makes RoleSec different

The platform is not built as generic awareness content with finance examples added on top. It is designed from the ground up around finance workflows, role pressure, and practical decision-making.

Role-based by design

RoleSec is structured around finance responsibilities rather than generic employee categories. Training is built to reflect how people actually work across approvals, reporting, payroll, audit, advisory, compliance, operations, and financial control.

Built for finance environments

Our content is designed for the realities of finance teams: sensitive information, time pressure, internal controls, external communication, documentation risk, fraud exposure, and third-party dependency.

Designed for practical use

The goal is not to turn finance professionals into security engineers. The goal is to help them recognise risk faster, make better decisions under pressure, and operate more safely inside the workflows that already define their roles.

What the platform is built around

RoleSec training is built around the points where finance work becomes most vulnerable to compromise. Depending on the role, that includes themes such as:

  • business email compromise and instruction tampering
  • sensitive document handling and data leakage
  • workflow manipulation and approval-chain abuse
  • access misuse, insider risk, and control breakdowns
  • reporting, reconciliation, and evidence integrity
  • third-party communication and impersonation risk
  • incident recognition, escalation, and defensive decision-making
