ABOUT US
A cybersecurity academy built around finance roles.
RoleSec is a Wyoming-based, English-only training startup focused on one thing: strengthening cybersecurity behaviours across real finance positions. We design every learning path from the perspective of the finance professional — not from a generic IT syllabus — so that security becomes part of how investment, banking, advisory, operations and leadership work is actually done.
Finance-focused security educators
RoleSec operates at the intersection of cybersecurity and finance. Founded as a Wyoming startup, we work exclusively in English and design our programs for the realities of U.S. and global financial organisations. Our mission is to enable finance teams to act as a first line of defence — informed, confident and aligned with modern security standards.
Cybersecurity training for finance positions
We build role-based cybersecurity training specifically for finance professionals: analysts, advisors, controllers, bankers, risk specialists, operations staff and senior leaders. Rather than treating finance as a generic “business user” group, we map threats and controls to the concrete responsibilities of each position and to the regulatory environment that surrounds it.
Where finance workflows meet real-world threats
Financial workflows are attractive targets: payment approvals, lending decisions, portfolio changes, client communications, reporting and attestations. A single compromised inbox, document or approval can create material loss. RoleSec exists to ensure that finance professionals understand these risks in detail and know how to act decisively when something is wrong.
Designed for how finance teams actually work.
We believe that effective cybersecurity training for finance must be precise, realistic and respectful of people’s time. RoleSec content is structured, practical and aligned with how finance teams operate under regulatory, commercial and time pressure.
Built around responsibilities, not job titles
Our starting point is what the professional actually does: approves transfers, handles client data, signs reports, manages portfolios, processes payroll or reviews controls. We then attach concrete security expectations to these responsibilities — what must never happen, what should always happen, and how to react when something looks wrong.
Clear, applicable and business-aligned
Content is written in clear business language and organised into short modules supported by quizzes and practical checklists. The goal is not to turn every finance professional into a security engineer, but to ensure that they can recognise risk, follow sound practices and collaborate effectively with technical security teams.
From individual professionals to finance teams.
RoleSec works with individual finance professionals who want to differentiate themselves in the job market, as well as with organisations that want consistent, role-aware cybersecurity behaviours across their teams.
Stand out as a security-aware finance professional
For analysts, advisors, managers and leaders, RoleSec offers structured paths that demonstrate a clear commitment to security. Learners gain not only concepts but also a vocabulary and mindset that resonate with employers, clients and regulators.
A stronger, more resilient finance function
For organisations, RoleSec provides a way to raise the security baseline of finance roles without disrupting operations. Teams gain a shared understanding of threats, expectations and good practice, making it easier to implement policies, respond to incidents and satisfy regulatory scrutiny.
Built by an engineer who saw a global gap.
RoleSec was founded by an Electrical and Electronics Engineer with a cybersecurity background who spent years working directly with finance professionals — from investment analysts and risk teams to auditors, bankers, advisors and senior executives.
“Finance teams face highly specific cybersecurity risks, yet the world continues to train them like generic IT end users.”
While financial workflows became faster, more digital and more exposed, the training available to finance professionals remained shallow, theoretical and disconnected from their real responsibilities. The founder saw this mismatch repeatedly — in investment operations, credit processes, advisory work, reporting cycles and regulatory reviews.
Observing this gap firsthand led to a clear conclusion: the market lacked a dedicated solution that treated finance roles as the starting point for cybersecurity education, rather than an afterthought. RoleSec was created to fill that gap.
RoleSec is not a generic security school that occasionally mentions finance, nor a finance program that briefly touches on security. It is a platform built from the intersection: defining what each finance professional must understand, must avoid and must be able to recognise in order to operate securely.
Today, RoleSec’s mission is to elevate the capability, awareness and resilience of finance teams globally — enabling individuals and organisations to understand cybersecurity at the level their role truly demands, and to respond decisively when something is wrong.
